punchworthy

A blog whereby I motivate myself, and my readers, to punch me in the mouth.

In other news, we just bought a(nother) minivan

It's not the first time, you know.

We're actually 3 vans in. And, in defense of anything that's in danger from anyone who still thinks it's fun to deride minivan ownership, I'd just like to say that a.) they have more interior cargo space than a Chevy Suburban, and b.) the VW Bus is the orignal minivan and totally cool, right?

Right.

That somehow seemed to relate to this... but it's probably just a case of me taking something and making it all about myself.

Brace yourselves...

THE END IS NEAR!!

Well, okay.. it's not. Or maybe it is. I don't really know. But that's kind of my point.

Contrary to what you may have heard in the news, I feel it is my duty to tell you, as your not-a-small-group not-leader, that I'm relatively certain tomorrow is not the The Rapture. (I think I'm on a mailing list for that or something) I went and read the bible tract from the guy who's doing the prophesying, and I gotta say, he seems like a wacko. An earnest wacko, but still. (Of course, John the Baptist was about an 11 on the 10-point "Just avoid eye contact and maybe he'll go away without talking to us" scale, so who knows, right?)

But don't be outraged at this dire prediction. It is not our place. OUR place is to be outraged that he's also preaching Annihilation of the Soul! He's an anti-Hell-ite! I say we go find this guy, and Rob Bell, while we're at it.. and string them up!

If we can still find them after tomorrow, that is.

peace,

Weird

Weird.

It's what things are right now.

Weird. I have a kid who starts driver's ed next year.

Weird. I have two other kids who are also not-small.

Weird. I apparently now only visit my own blog roughly once every 12 months.

Weird. Deb and I have been married for 17 years.

Weird. I'm 38.

Weird. I finally have a band, and perform regularly.

Weird. I've become fully self-employed, primarily as a writer, busy working--often day and night.

Weird. I do more and think less.

Weird. I've come to care more about what I'm doing, and less about how I look doing it.

Weird. Just as I'm realizing who I might be, I'm realizing how little time I have left to be.

I am more on track now, and more lost, than I have ever been.

Weird. Is how "weird" sounds if you say it over and over.

But that's what it is. For the moment.

Hope to catch you again soon, non-existant blog and audience! Punchworthy 2012! We can do it!
